Emergency First Aid at Work
Our qualification is specifically for those individuals who are to become an emergency first-aider in the workplace. It is designed for a low-risk environment and ideally to support the qualified first aider in their absence.
Having trained first aiders in your workplace isn’t just a legal requirement. It’s a vital and necessary skill that can help colleagues and customers in the event of accident or sudden illness, and can literally save lives
This one-day qualification meets the requirements of both the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 and the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1982
At the end of the course, you will have a basic understanding of:
- The roles and responsibilities of a first-aider
- How to assess an incident
- First aid skills in CPR and use of an AED
- Recognising signs and symptoms of injury and illness
- How to deal with shock, burns, scalds, bleeds and minor injuries
- How to assist a casualty who is suffering from major injury and illness such as chest injuries, spinal injuries and anaphylaxis
