Level 3 NVQ Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety

Our NVQ courses are delivered online as distance learning. You will receive your own dedicated account manager who can be contacted by email or phone for help, advice and to answer any questions you might have. You will also receive access to a personalised e-portfolio with a percentage indicator to track your progression throughout the course.

Our Level 3 NVQ Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety qualification is designed to assess occupational competence in the workplace. The aim is to recognise the knowledge, skills and competence of individuals who are working as a health and safety practitioner, in a position of responsibility for the health, safety and welfare of a team or organisation. Our qualification is generic and appropriate for individuals working in a range of sectors.

This NVQ provides you with a formal recognition for working in Health & Safety.

A huge benefit of this qualification is that upon successful completion you will be able to apply for a CSCS Gold Skilled Workers Card.

Once enrolled onto our qualification you will be able to apply for the Red Experienced Technical, Supervisor or Manager CSCS card right. This card is issued on a temporary basis and demonstrates that you are working towards an NVQ. The card is valid for three  year and cannot be renewed and you must also have passed the appropriate level CITB Health, safety and environment (HSE) test within the last two years.

Progression

Natural progression from this qualification would be to take the Level 6 NVQ Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety Practice which upon completion would lead to a Black CSCS Card
How it Works

You will be given access to a personalised e-portfolio which will have a % indicator to track your progression and introduced to your Account Manager who will be available by email or phone.

This qualification is competence-based and you are required to produce a portfolio of evidence that demonstrates your achievement of all of the learning outcomes and assessment criteria for each unit.

• Record of oral and/or written questioning

Important stuff

There are no formal entry requirements for the qualification; however, you must be able to demonstrate that you can meet the skills, knowledge and experience requirements of the NVQ before enrolment. This will be done via ‘Skill Scan’ to confirm your suitability for the course prior to being accepted.

You must have good written and spoken English

You will also need access to a computer/ laptop and must have the capabilities to access our e-portfolio and have a Zoom account with a stable Internet connection

You have 2 Years to complete the qualification. The average completion time 6 months but can be completed in as little as 6 weeks.

Feedback regarding your progress will be provided via our e-portfolio

Your assessor will provide support throughout the assessment process to ensure timely completion of your NVQ.
